We welcomed summer with Creemore's Summer Solstice on Friday June 21. It was a wonderful event with vendors, music, games, lots of food and we ladies got to make floral halos.
At Foxingham Farm bnb the gardens are blooming in full colour. Unusual varieties of flowers like peachey bellflower in white and purple, mock orange, bridal veil spirea, veronica, honey suckle, jacob's ladder, sage, sweet peas, The birdwatching is at its best too with the past mild winter, more unusual birds are here. So far the rose-breasted grosbeaks, Solitary sandpiper, common yellowthroat, brown thrasher, northern cardinal, house wren, American robin, song sparrow, yellow warbler, eastern bluebird, American goldfinch, barn swallow, northern flicker, chipping sparrow and blue headed vireo.
